Uwe Kroeger is at the present the most exciting musical performer in Germany and Austria. He played the leads in the German-language premieres of " MISS SAIGON ", "SUNSET BOULEVARD" and Disney´s "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ", just to name a few.
He also created the role of "Death" in the world premiere of " ELISABETH " , the cult musical in Vienna about the Habsburg empress.
In 1999 he once again demonstrated
his star qualities in the new Vienna musical production,
"MOZART!

His creation of Salzburg´s sinister "Archbishop Colloredo",
who deeply respects and wishes to understand the music of the
flipant young composer, gave more to the production than one could
ask for. This role added a new facet to the variety of roles that he
has already performed, making him truly a chameleon in his trade.
Uwe Kroeger was born in Hamm/Westfalen. He studied voice, dramatic arts and dance at the Conservatory of Arts in Berlin. In addition he excelled in English and French.
Shortly after his studies he was engaged as the first German performer to play "Rusty" in the German production of " STARLIGHT EXPRESS " in Bochum. Then followed the Viennese and Dutch productions of "LES MISÉRABLES " , in which he played various roles. In the Dutch production Uwe Kroeger was also engaged as Assistant Resident Director. Leading parts in "JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR", "THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW" and "STARMANIA" followed. His breakthrough-performance in the role of "Death" in the world premiere of " ELISABETH " (1992) established him in the European musical world.
Two years later Cameron Mackintosh discovered the young talent and gave him the chance to play "Chris", the American GI, in the German-language premiere of "MISS SAIGON " in Stuttgart. There he received phenomenal reviews.
In 1995 Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber engaged him as the male lead "Joe Gillis" in the German-language premiere of "SUNSET BOULEVARD" for which he received the I.M.A.G.E. Award in 1997. In the same year Uwe Kroeger was honoured by being offered the role of "The Beast" in the German Premiere of Disney's "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" in Stuttgart. In this role he surprised and touched audiences with his charming and truthful portrayal of this challenging character. Indeed, he received praise from Disney's Vice president of Theatrical Productions, Mr. Stuart Oken.
From October 1999 to May 2000 Uwe Kroeger played the sinister Archbishop of Salzburg in the world premiere of the Vienna musical production " MOZART! ". In June 2000 he played "Pharaoh" as a guest performer in the musical " JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT " in Vienna. In October 2000 Uwe Kroeger had his West End debut in the role of "Napoleon" in the European premiere of the musical "NAPOLEON " at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London.
Between March 2001 an June 2003 Uwe Kroeger played the role of "Death" again in the German original cast of " Elisabeth ". The Production in the Colosseum Theater in Essen was a revised version of the musical.
In August 2001 Uwe Kroeger had his first performance in an operetta.
He played "Felix" in Ralph Benatzky's vivacious comedy "Bezauberndes Fraeulein"
(The Enchanting Young Lady) at the Etablissement Ronacher in Vienna.
Because of its enormous success this production was taken up again
in the summer of 2002.
In the summer of 2003 Uwe Kroeger could be seen as
"Burrs" in the musical "
The Wild Party
" in Amstetten/Austria.
Uwe Kroeger
took on the role of "Javert" in
"Les Miserables"
at the "Theater des Westens" in Berlin from September 2003
till December 2004 and again he inspired the audience as the Vaudeville
clown "Burrs" in "The
Wild Party"
at the municipal theater Klagenfurt/Austria between December
2004 and February 2005.
2005/2006 Uwe Kroeger
played the role of “Cardinal Richelieu” in the German-language first-night
performance of the musical "3 Musketiere"
at the “Theater des Westens” in Berlin, before he inspired
the audience as "Phantom" at the Colosseum Theater in Essen.
September 2006 till December 2007 he took on the role of "Maxim de
Winter" in the new Kunze/Levay Musical "Rebecca" in Vienna.
Also in the reopening September till December 2008.
Under direction of Harry Kupfer
in April 2008 started in Berlin a new staging of "Elisabeth". Uwe
Kroeger could be seen again in the role of "Death" till August 2008 - as
a dreamteam with Pia Douwes as "Elisabeth".
Besides his various musical engagements,
Uwe Kroeger frequently takes part in numerous galas and concerts and
he synchronized "Jack" in the Walt Disney-flmmusical "Newsies". In
2004 moviegoers could experience Uwe Kroeger in the German version of
the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical film "Phantom of the opera" where he synchronized
the role of the Phantom. In addition, he inspired his audience with the
tour productions of "In Love with musical", "Still in Love with musical",
and "In Love with musical Again" in Germany and Austria. The new concert
tour "Musical moments " started in January 2004 in Berlin and is continued
2005 in Germany with a new program.
Not only has he recorded several original cast albums, but
he has also released four solo CDs in Europe, featuring songs
in German, English and French.
He has received a number of international awards for his outstanding performances.
Since February 2009 Uwe Kroeger could be seen as prime minister "Eduard Earl Taaffe" in the new musical of the Vereinigten Bühnen Vienna "RUDOLF - Affaire Mayerling".Management:
